Please write an abstract of chapter 8 of BrownÕs Good Wives and Nasty Wenches.

An abstract (or prŽcis) is more than a summary. It provides information about the argument and conclusions of a text, the range of topics covered in the course of making the argument, and the kinds of evidence used to support the argument. In this case you should also refer to why Brown includes this chapter in her book (how it relates to the book as a whole).

This essay should be no more 500 words in 12 font type (between a page and a page and a half). Please bring the abstract to class on Tuesday, September 17, to hand in.
