Early Flowers
Some early spring flowers are blooming
now.
Spring is a little late this year, but there are
some early flowers out now. The earliest is the Helleborus "Royal Heritage",
that bloomed for the first time this year. It is purple, with darker veins.
Also blooming are the February Gold daffodils, which have been out for two weeks.
Larger, and a about a week later isthe daffodil Sun Disc
The iris dadiae, planted in planters are just now blooming.
Colorful all winter is Nandina "Compacta", which stays small and turns a brilliant red in the fall and remains red all winter.
