Welcome to my personal homepages. These pages reflect my personal and professional interests.
Family - I live in Amherst, Virginia, with my wife Nancy. My two sons are Geoff; who is a graduate student at Florida State University, and Philip; who lives in Vienna, Virginia. My mother lives in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I have an older sister, Leslie, who lives in Pembroke Pines, Florida and a younger brother, Jim who lives in Spokane, Washington.
Professional - I am Professor of Theatre Arts at Sweet Briar College, and chair of the Department of Theatre Arts. I am a member of a number of professional societies.
Creative Work - My next project is Macbeth by William Shakespeare.
Garden - I am especially interested in Daylilies and Japanese maples.
London - a city with lots of theatre, culture and history.
Classes - I teach Acting, Directing, Playwriting, Dramatic Literature,and Theatre History.
Research Interests - I am mainly interested in the theatre of Edwardian England, and in the theatres of London and New York City.
Director's Notes - Here I post pictures of my garden, and various thoughts on theatre, books and whatever interests me.
